[Page A1.] Northwest Offers a Business Fare Northwest Airlines is offering a new business air fare that has a 40percentt discount from the full coach tariff and drops the Saturday night stay that is a standard requirement for existing discount fares.
The new Northwest fare, available only on United States and Canadian routes, features a 40percentt discount off the full coach tariff; nonrefundable, it requires a 10-day advance purchase, a minimum stay of one night and a $75 fee for changes.
The fare, announced earlier this week, eliminates the overnight Saturday stay required for the airline's -- and in general, the entire industry's -- discounted 14-day advance purchase tariff.
They must also point out any discounts that apply to the tariff the customer is on when compared with the same supplier's standard direct debit tariff.
