"tangentially mentioned" is a correct and usable phrase in written English
It can be used to describe when something is briefly or indirectly referenced in a sentence, rather than being the main focus. It suggests that the topic is only slightly related to the main point being discussed. Example: "The article primarily discusses the benefits of solar energy, but renewable wind power is tangentially mentioned as another alternative source of energy."
