The phrase "taking direct" is not a grammatically correct part of a sentence
It is possible that it is a typo or an incomplete thought. In order for a sentence to be grammatical, it needs a subject and a verb. "Taking direct" does not have a subject or verb. It is possible to use the words "taking" and "direct" separately in a sentence, but they must be part of a complete grammatical structure. For example: "I am taking a direct flight to New York."
