The phrase "take class" is technically grammatically correct, however, it may be confusing to the reader. It could refer to either taking a physical class, or taking an online class. To be clearer, it would be best to frame the phrase differently. For example, you could say, "I am going to take an online class this semester," or "I am taking a ballet class on Sundays."
