'tacit restriction' is a correct and usable phrase in written English
It is used to describe an unspoken rule or restriction, usually imposed by a group or organization. For example, "There was a tacit restriction by the movie theater that prohibited people from bringing outside food."
This fallacy is committed when a general proposition is used as the premise for an argument without attention to the (tacit) restrictions and qualifications that govern it and invalidate its application in the manner at issue.
