This spring, 2tor released an iPad and iPhone app that allows students to attend live, synchronous class sessions via webcam anywhere, with 3G or 4G networks.
Due to the nature of Chinese and the complexity of online learning, research has not yet produced sufficient information on students' and teachers' interaction during synchronous online sessions.
On top of that 2tor has been moving into mobile, releasing an iPad and iPhone app this year that gives students the ability to participate in live, synchronous class sessions via webcam — from anywhere, via 3G or 4G networks.
It also helps that the company spent several years developing its own web-based infrastructure that gives professors the ability to share materials with students, provide lectures and interactive lessons, student support, social networking, as well as mobile apps that enable students to participate in live, synchronous class sessions via webcam — from anywhere.
The project also involved a synchronous online session with the two language courses by using the virtual meeting tool Adobe Connect.

Besides Moodle and Facebook, two synchronous online video conferencing sessions (one at the beginning, the other at the end of project) were arranged allowing the students at both sides to meet online.
