(AP) HARTFORD: BUDGET SURPLUS The strong economy and higher-than-expected income tax revenues will push the state budget surplus to $470.2 million to close out the fiscal year, the state comptroller, Nancy Wyman, said Monday.
Mr. Denham of California has a bill that, along with a similar Senate bill sponsored by Scott Brown, a Massachusetts Republican, would streamline the property sale process by creating a commission like those used by the military to close surplus bases.
