A second surgeon who places greater priority on their relationship with family and personal hobbies may devote less personal time to such professional activities.
Prioritisation of patients for surgery based on doctors' opinions moderately reflected the views of patients about the difficulty caused by their condition, while strongly reflecting the views of orthopaedic surgeons about their patients' priority for surgery (see Table 3[ 62]).
While there is limited scope in the studied clinical setting to alter public sector provider funding and/or staffing priorities, surgeons'/referrers' knowledge of the existence of public sector providers might be addressed, e.g. by means of a provider 'directory', which includes the contact details and method of referral to those providers.
