This case of a lack of innate behavior toward LIN on the one hand and effective learnability on the other hand raises the question whether also PAR as solvent may, despite being ineffective in innate behavior (supplementary Figure 1A), nevertheless support learnt behavior.
The same pattern of results is found for n-amyl acetate (AM) and linalool (LIN) as well, yet in a more extreme way (for all statistics, see legend of Figure 4): Although LIN does not support innate behavior (but see Honjo and Furukubo-Tokunaga [2005; 2009] and Fishilevich et al. [2005]), it does support learnt behavior.
"It was a real support,...you learnt things you couldn't get elsewhere" They often chose one person from the range of health professionals, with whom they formed a personal bond, seeking advice from that person or contacting them if they were anxious, while still keeping appointments with the other health professionals involved in their care.
For many this appeared to be because they had previous experience of unsuccessful assisted quit attempts (with, eg, over-the-counter NRT, prescription NRT, smoking cessation medications or behavioural support) and had learnt that for them, assistance was unhelpful or solved only part of the problem.

This finding is consistent with data for how animals with much larger brains learn to reliably recognise novel rotated objects by interpolating previously learnt views, and thus supports the ideas that simple networks could recognise three dimensional objects by interpolating between relatively small numbers of previously learnt views [6], [14], [15].
Having learnt SF drills in the support group, they will have done no harm to their chances.
Subsequently, a support vector machine (SVM) algorithm utilizes the learnt features and patterns for application on labeled data from a given source domain, resulting in a linear classification model that outperforms other methods.
