The decision support model for this problem uses a strategic system dynamics (SD) model that captures the environmental, economic, social, and cultural dimensions of the coastal community profile subject to community vulnerabilities induced by the impacts of severe storms, storm surges, and rising seas (Sherwood 2002).
Similarly, if the number of affected patients is too low (e.g., less then 3%), it may not be cost effective to justify creation and costly enterprise maintenance of a new decision support content for this problem.
