They also "phone bombed" companies, posting contact numbers publicly and encouraging their supporters to call – leading some support centres to report receiving up to 30 calls per minute.
Workers based at its three major support centres in London, Coventry and Manchester will be affected.
Some 200 support centres offer interpreting services, language classes, child care and counselling.

"We could use KLCs as learning support centres for our distance learning courses," said Stuart Bannerman, head of the international study centre at Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh, who attended the briefings.
"Some functions will be losing colleagues and others will be taking more on, with the expectation of around 500 fewer roles, spread across all divisions and grades in our store support centres," the company added.
