For most gene families, some of the genes were predicted to be chloroplast-specific, and many of the gene lineages included mixtures of genes with and without chloroplast transit peptides (supplementary figs. S3 and S4, Supplementary Material online).
In principle, it is plausible to suppose that the physical relocation of non-cyanobacterial enzymes into the photosynthetic organelle occurred by incidental mistargeting via the TIC/TOC protein import machinery (ChloroP 1.1 analysis showed 87/103 of the analyzed plastid enzymes have predicted plastid transit peptides; Supplementary Table S1).

In other words, strategies that encourage densification, mix of land uses and increase in transit supply will increase pedestrian activity and may indirectly, with no supplementary safety strategies, increase the total number of injured pedestrians.
