Morbidities related to prematurity included BPD (need for supplemental O2 >35 weeks of GA), PDA (treated with medication and/or surgery), sepsis proven by positive culture results and ROP diagnosed by paediatric ophthalmologist.
The reduction in A1C occurred mainly in the first 8 weeks and then remained relatively stable through the next 44 weeks (supplemental Fig. S1).
