There were no differences in leptin (Supplemental Figure 3A & D), although there was a positive correlation between body fat and fasting leptin (r=0.70, P<0.01) and leptin tAUC (r=0.68, P<0.01).
Significant improvements occurred with rimonabant versus placebo in levels of adiponectin (Table 2, Fig. 1 F ), HOMA-IR, proinsulin-to-insulin ratio (Table 2), and proinsulin and leptin levels (supplemental Table A).
