The research was initiated by the lead author in response to concerns about decreasing supervisor capacity in rural Australian general practice training and interest in how supervisors teach within their practices.
It was decided that the tool would focus primarily on the key roles of the Family Physician, namely: care provider, consultant, leader and champion of clinical governance, clinical trainer and supervisor, capacity builder, and leader and champion of COPC.
In our data, each supervisor's capacity to offer support beyond this was facilitated by her background and the support she received from her managers--more so, possibly, than by her intervention training.
The factors that were negatively related to the process of the care, according to the health care professionals, were lack of commitment of the patient supervisor, reduced physical capacity of the patient, and the duration of the care.

5. Focus on developing the capacity of supervisors to support adult learning in the work place and to formally recognise their role as trainer or mentor.
As for the Ethiopian Health Extension Workers, their integration process in health system was shaped by among other issues management capacity by supervisors, pay consistency and adequacy of the orientation process to communities regarding their role [ 12, 13].
A lack of communication skills and knowledge related to the HEP among the HEWs' supervisors was one of the weak points mentioned by some participants in the study that would limit the scope of supervisors to build the capacity of HEWs.
Like the other community-based health workers, the Ethiopian HEWs also experienced limitations such as inadequate management capacity by supervisors and training, pay inconsistency and employment insecurity as well as limited infrastructure which affected their ability to work in the initial stages of the programme [ 10].
Correlations were observed between total bird capacity and flock supervisor visits, feed delivery and non-integrator commercial visits.
