This phase II trial was initiated to substantiate the data on safety and efficacy of postoperative hypofractionated irradiation of the prostate bed, to investigate for the first time hypofractionated treatment of the pelvic lymph nodes and to compare toxicity rates of hypofractionated treatment of the prostate bed alone or with the lymphatic drainage.
NOTWITHSTANDING the close and expert scrutiny to which Dr. L. S. B. Leakey's evidence for the early occurrence of man in Kenya has been subjected, the far-reaching effect of the conclusions to which it leads make it eminently desirable that no means of verifying and substantiating the data should be neglected.
To further substantiate the data obtained by the use of the promoter-probe vectors, rt-PCR analysis was performed on RNA extracted from non-induced and induced cultures of the L. biflexa reporter strains (Figure 9).
"I know of no current data substantiating the use of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs by professional dancers," said Gary Wadler, an expert on those drugs at the New York University School of Medicine and the lead author of "Drugs and the Athlete" (F. A. Davis Company, 1989).
In line with these results, a maximum-likelihood factor analysis with varimax rotation could substantiate the fit of the data of the bMCU test to a one-factor solution (χ2 = 59.63, df = 54, p = .28).28
In particular, data substantiating the heightened risk of short-term re-fracture have increased the interest in secondary osteoporosis prevention.
Validation studies, however, have shown generally good agreement between satellite-derived and in situ chlorophyll measures in offshore and shallow reef-bound coastal waters42,43,44 (see also Fig. 2), substantiating the utility of ocean colour data to study biological activity in the Red Sea.
For many of the genes that were assayed with both intron exon spanning and 3′-exon primer pairs, different results were obtained (data not shown) substantiating the presence of multiple transcripts.
Interestingly, when the nucleotide sequences of the oligonucleotides on the arrays, of these apparently false-positive hits, where compared to the N gene nucleotide sequence, small stretches (10 15 nucleotides) of identical sequences were observed (data not shown), substantiating the suggestion of cross-hybridization of vRNA to specific sequences on the arrays.
Therefore, the mathematical prediction made by the model agrees very closely with the biological data, thereby substantiating the physical meaning of the model.
The data of this survey substantiated how difficult it is for the motivated and interested well-informed consumer to make personal risk decisions.
