Here it seems quite obvious that upon learning of your disagreement, you should become substantially less confident in your belief that the share is $43; in fact, you should become equally confident that the share is $45.
At one end are "conciliationist" or "equal weight" views, according to which two peers who disagree about p should subsequently become substantially less confident in their opinions regarding p. At the other end of the spectrum are "non-conciliationist" or "steadfast" views, on which one is not rationally required to change one's view in the face of peer disagreement.
