Patients at a Veteran's Administration substance abuse treatment center ranked nine vignettes from most to least preferred at baseline and 4 weeks later.
The overall region rank (Total TEQ) and associated substance ranks (TEQ and TE) allow users to make useful relative comparisons among regions and substances.
For example, in Fig. 3, acetaldehyde has a substance rank of 1 (column 5) out of 13 regions (column 6) in the province of Quebec.
Recently, drugs are being tested (and attracting great attention) that mimic ischaemic conditioning (IC), at all of the three hierarchical levels, adenosine being amongst the first of such pharmaceuticals, the substance ranking among the IC triggers.
