Earlier this year, the Department of Health's Therapeutic Goods Administration put forward a proposal to have amyl nitrites rescheduled to a Schedule 9 substance: ranked alongside the likes of heroin, LSD, and MDMA in the eyes of the law.
The overall region rank (Total TEQ) and associated substance ranks (TEQ and TE) allow users to make useful relative comparisons among regions and substances.

Within each of the seven groups of drugs and for each PTAM, the substances were ranked by descending volume of DDDs to estimate DU90% segments for drug utilisation as described earlier by Bergman et al. [ 7].
