A branch of the American manufacturer of computer parts 5M in the Netherlands was partly cleared out today after a letter arrived containing a powdery substance, and two people in Basel, Switzerland, were given precautionary treatment after they received letters they regarded as suspect.
Only one control displayed a response in skin conductance to a test substance, and two controls showed symptom responses to test substances; none showed symptom responses to the control substances.
