Keeping this in mind, we developed a framework for authenticating a user efficiently through a subset of available authentication modalities along with their several features (authentication factors) in a time-varying operating environment (devices, media, and surrounding conditions, like light, noise, motion, etc).

Several of these models propose that at least a subset of the features are modality-specific (e.g., Cree & McRae, 2003; Plaut, 2002; Rogers et al., 2004; Vigliocco, Vinson, Lewis, & Garrett, 2004).
On the basis of clinical and radiographic findings, a subset of patients received advanced imaging modalities.
In contrast, modality-specific information contributes only to the subset of concepts that are experienced in that modality.
While the sensitivity is inferior, US is known to be useful in children and pregnant patients, and is the primary modality for these subset of patients based on the American College of Radiology guidelines [24].
