BRCA1 and BRCA2 families in which no member was tested for mutations subsequent to the first identified carrier were excluded (seven families).
Of the total number of tests, 54% of tests were initial tests and the remaining 46% of tests were subsequent tests, 25% of which were for the second test, 11% the third test and 6% the forth test.
Analysis of the HF-triplet data (paired sample t-test) for the NH group showed significant improvements compared to the first test (1.1) for all subsequent tests in session 1 (1.3, 1.3, and 1.4) and in sessions 2 4.
The results of the subsequent tests according to the result of the first test are given in table 2. Overall, 12.6% (77/613) of those positive were retested in the interval on or after 2 weeks and less than 6 months after the initial test.
The data include the probability that the newborn is lost to follow-up before the first test (i.e. the probability that the newborn is not screened) or to subsequent tests, with and without tracking; that it bilaterally fails the first or subsequent tests; and that it is diagnosed after the second or third test.

As an experimental quality control step, a second "no adhesion" state was tested subsequent to the three adhesion states and compared with the first "no adhesion" state to confirm the fastener did not deform the tissue.
Finally, the UMAT has been delivered since the early 1990's and so given that this data-set was confined to all who sat from 2000 onwards it is possible that for some subjects data analysed as results from the first test during this period may have in fact come from second or subsequent re-sits of the test.
