Netflix is finally breaking off from its slowing subscriber growth trend as it posted a huge quarter that beat both its own, and Wall Street's, expectations.

However, the company rained on its own parade as it warned of declining trends in subscriber growth and projected slowed sales through the second half of the year.
"We think EchoStar shares likely will remain range-bound in the near term until investors have greater visibility into subscriber growth and economics trends, and free cash outlook post the transition to HD/MPEG-4," the firm said.
Those results perpetuate an industrywide trend: contract subscriber growth is slowing because most people who want cellphones have them.
