To identify subregional differences in femorotibial cartilage morphology between healthy controls and women with different grades of radiographic knee osteoarthritis (OA).
The general issue of lateralization of emotional functions in the human amygdala has been a matter of much debate [48], but lateralization in the context of subregional differences within the amygdala has not yet been considered.
However, we believe that these data remain important and valuable as another way to document subregional differences.
Aside from differences in the regulation of LTP and LTD in the CA1 region, subregional differences in the regulation of synaptic plasticity by group I mGluRs also occur (Naie et al., 2007).
One potential caveat to this explanation is related to the fact that, as mentioned above, analysis was performed on whole-brain samples, thereby leaving open the possibility that subregional differences in activity may be present.
For MR (Table 1), repeated ANOVA revealed significant PFC subregional differences in expression (F (3, 81) = 84.5, P < 0.0001); with the lPFC and dPFC subregions expressing the highest mRNA levels.
In the case of calcyon (Fig. 5B), repeated ANOVA revealed significant PFC subregional differences in mRNA expression (F (3, 99) = 100.9, P < 0.001), with the mPFC subregion expressing the highest mRNA levels.
For GR (Fig. 3B), repeated ANOVA revealed significant PFC subregional differences in mRNA expression (F (3,99) = 87.9, P < 0.0001); with the lPFC and mPFC expressing the highest and lowest mRNA levels, respectively.
We conclude that fires induce a consistent shift in the composition of the springtail functional trait community, which is driven more by the forest stand level of litter thickness and moisture than by subregional forest differences.
This may provide hints on the functional significance of the observed subregional activity differences.
