For Cluster 1, one small sub cluster of only 3 individuals was merged into an existing sub cluster of 33 individuals, rendering Cluster 1 relatively stable between the 7- cluster and the 4-cluster solutions as well.
Interestingly, a sub cluster of acidic mandarin ('Cleopatra', 'Sunki', 'Depressa' and 'Sun Chu Sha') also present higher coordinates in the second axis relative to the other C. reticulata accessions.
While the sub-clustering technique used was relatively simple it has produced sub-clusters of orthologue groups that show distinct biological patterns based on two independent measures.
