The present study explores the different types of uncertainty that may play a role in eBoD studies expressed in Disability Adjusted Life Years, structured using a typology.
However, to date many predictors of disability established in general populations have not been considered in studies examining disability in elderly acute myocardial infarction (AMI) survivors.
It includes a comprehensive range of body structures and functions, activities and participation that can be assessed in studies of disability in RA [ 21].
These observations concord with studies of change in disability [ 7, 26, 25], functional limitations [ 6, 11, 10] and frailty [ 60].
This variability in task performance has also been observed in other studies assessing disability in glaucoma using performance-based measures [ 16, 17].
However many factors considered to be associated with or causally related to disability in general or in other populations [ 8, 13, 17, 18, 21- 25, 25- 27], have not been considered in previous studies examining disability in elderly AMI-survivors [ 18, 22, 23].
The interplay of biological and social identities whether these be innate, imposed, or embraced has become a subject of first-order importance in disability studies as well as in feminist theory, and especially in philosophical ventures into disability scholarship.
The studies in which overall disability was the outcome of interest also reported divergent findings.
The study was conducted in conjunction with the City University of New York's office of student affairs and graduate program in disability studies.
