In the adaptation process of CST for Tanzania and Nigeria, the structure of sessions as described in the manuals had to be modified for logistical issues, as they would have not worked otherwise.
Although some participants felt able to express their views others were unable to do so because of the structure of sessions, the way in which they were facilitated and the settings in which the discussions took place.
Tuckman's stages of group development [ 48, 49] guide the structuring of sessions within the programme.
Each session lasts 90 min., and the structure of every session and the contents are manualised and based on the standard programmes of this type [ 19].
All participants present at each session completed structured end-of-session evaluation surveys (see Table 2) and on completion of the whole of THP Module One, all six participants and the local observers completed program evaluation questions (see Table 3).
To index the data corpus, sessions were divided into intervals based on changes in the activity structure of the session (Herbst et al., 2011b; see also Lemke, 1990).

To deliver this component as prescribed, a high level of adherence to the content and structure of the session was required.
The components assessed were: structure of the session, breadth of topic, depth of topic, use of visual material, enthusiasm of teacher, interactivity with audience, communication skills, timekeeping, knowledge prior to session, knowledge following session and an overall impression.
In the Campylobacter-elicitation [ 36], two experts, who did not participate in the actual elicitation, were asked to join a dry-run of the elicitation and comment on the proposed structure of the session.
