We select the strong outbreak moving from Africa to the Atlantic between 25 and 28 August 2006, which was observed during the NAMMA SOP-3 and discussed in detail by Reale et al. [ 2009] and Reale and Lau [ 2010].
The disease seemed to have mostly disappeared from the United States by the late 1970s in fact, scientists believe, it continued to spread, undiagnosed, among adults but over the past 2 decades the disease has bounced back with a vengeance, with strong outbreaks among school-aged children in 2010 and last year, when the United States reported 40,000 cases.
Under those circumstances, RHDV should be selected for high virulence, causing short strong outbreaks, but with low viral persistence probability within any given rabbit subpopulation (Fouchet et al. 2009).
The predictive value of RFLP patterns to document recent M. tuberculosis transmission and the relatedness of isolates is often considered stronger in outbreak settings in which links among patients are known (14).
The period between 8,600 and 8,000 years B.P. featuring the most intense volcanic activity is also the one corresponding to strong meltwater outbreak from the Laurentide ice sheet28 (Fig. 4).

C5a combines with the receptors on the membrane of MG and then causes a strong breathing outbreak and produces a large amounts of toxic superoxide free radicals and makes neurons damage [ 21].
Figure 1 shows the westward progression of the same strong dust outbreak, intercepting the African coastline at about 15° 30°N and also the interaction of the dust plume with a broad and weak low pressure area, as represented in the dust analysis produced by the GEOS-5 assimilation between 26 and 27 August 2006.
These variants would cause short, strong disease outbreaks but not persist for long.
