For example, ELK1 is the second strongest enriched TF in genes that co-express with complex I (P = 8.6 × 10−27) and belongs to the ETS family of transcription factors, which also includes known OXPHOS regulators NRF2, GABP, and ETS1.
We observed a strong enrichment of ORCA at the H3K9-enriched loci, while ORCA binding to C-FOS, a region devoid of H3K9, was comparable to that of IgG.
Among the 26 testes-enriched novel exons (hereafter, tNE), the strong enrichment of 24 tNEs in testes was confirmed by qRT-PCR and RT-PCR.

Except for ChrM, we got strong CNV-enriched chromosomes of 27, 18, 15, 29, 5, × and 23 (>2.13% on average), which might have been shaped by local Chinese bulls, compared with other results [ 18, 21].

Strong statistical enrichment and association with multiple comparisons or time-points can be considered to be indicative of functional relevance and several of the above enriched pathways satisfied this criterion.
