The Gilwell woggle is a two-strand version of a Turk's head knot, which has no beginning and no end, and symbolizes the commitment of a Wood Badger to Scouting.
A double stranded version containing the loop sequence ctcaagaga was synthesised (Proligo, France) and inserted in pSilencer2.1-U6 neo (Ambion).
The SMARTer method is a recent release from Clontech that aims to provide a random and stranded version of the first SMARTer Low Input library kit (oligo dT) priming), which has been used successfully for eukaryotic single cell transcriptomic studies [ 26, 27].
