The amount of time burning fuels, standardized by the number of stoves used, also played a role in PM2.5 exposure with every hour of stove operation [median operating time 4.3 h; Interquartile Range (IQR) 2.2 to 9.6 h per stove] resulting in an incremental increase (GMR: 1.01) of PM2.5 exposure.
Experimental validation is performed and the simplified model is shown to be accurate and applicable to typical stove operation.
Model validation presented in Part 1 is for stove operation without a cook piece in place; in Part 2, model validation is extended to more practical, with cook piece, stove operation.
