Radiology is important for the research undertaken by other disciplines; for example, as a service by acquiring, evaluating, communicating and storing imaging biomarker data.
In addition to providing imzML files, each storing imaging MS data of an individual serial section, the full dataset was provided after several processing steps (see below) in an HDF5 file.
The samples were washed three times with PBS and stored for imaging in PBS.

Consequently, we are now working to implement an SQL database, which will be slightly more complex to develop but will enable us to automate workflow and store imaging and laboratory data in a single relational database.
With the stored volumetric data, imaging can be accurately evaluated offline.
