In exchange, the owners of the brands will help publicize the movie with commercials, posters, sweepstakes, viewing parties, events in stores, contests, ticket giveaways and even products with labels inspired by "Sex and the City".
Other such initiatives include retail outlets devoted to single brands that are open for a short time, known as pop-up stores; contests in which the public can create ads for their favorite products, called consumer-generated content; and exhibits in malls, car dealer showrooms, the lobbies of office buildings and other public places.
