What looked like "acute local stoppage of blood flow" could correspond to the lack of the flow in the vascular vaso-mimicry before the anastomosis.
After 11 years of exploitation, more than 80% of the rubber trees had normal latex flow after tapping while the remaining trees had a partial or complete stoppage of latex flow.
The trees with normal latex flow were considered as "healthy" trees, whereas the trees with a partial or complete stoppage of latex flow were referred to as "TPD" trees.
