When the three steps were finished, the newly constructed features of patients can be used as inputs to do disease class discoveries and classifications by other algorithms e.g., k-means [ 21, 22] and support vector machines [ 23, 24].
After all washing steps were finished and no more protein was detectable in the effluents, 50 ml elution buffer (100 mM glycine, 150 mM NaCl, pH 2.45) was run into the column at a speed of 30 ml/h. 1 ml fractions of eluate were collected in Eppendorf vials containing 100 μl neutralization buffer (3 M Tris/HCl, pH 7.8) and mixed immediately.
Now the first step is finished.
