The FLAIR derived threshold decreased by 2.52 (3.90, 1.14) units between sequential adjacent slice pairs from brain stem to vertex (P = 0.0004, Fig. 3), and increased by 3.14 (95% CI 1.79, 4.48) units for every voxel increase in WML volume (P = 0.0003, Table 3).
