Model results at steady-state focus on the effect of changing particle loading and diameter at different average residence times.
Conditioned medium from senescent fibroblasts alone was not sufficient to increase the foci formation rate (Fig. 1E,F) or the steady-state foci frequencies (Fig. S3).
On the contrary, blocking gap junction-mediated cell cell contact or scavenging extracellular ROS blocked the increase of foci formation rate (Fig. 1E,F) and steady-state foci levels (Fig. S3) in bystander cells.
