Widening their vision to embrace neighborhoods, engineers from Jernhusen, the state-owned railroad station developer, are hoping to find a way to capture excess body heat on a scale large enough to warm homes and office buildings in a perpetual cycle of mutual generosity.
California-based electric vehicle charging station developer 350Green will purchase and install over 400 charging stations from manufacturer Coulomb Technologies, the company has announced.
This would allow the county to close the station, where developers want to build a golf and condominium development called EnCap Golf.

The architecture of the project, to be built over the next two and a half years, will blend with that of the buildings downtown as well as with the historic 1915 Renaissance Revival train station, which the developers will improve.
Patrick J. Foye, co-chairman of the Empire State Development Corporation, said that the city and the state have each pledged to invest $300 million in the station, and that the developers have agreed to put up $550 million.
