The following parameters were analysed following IMRT: patient performance status, age, gender, late complications, T-stage of recurrence, synchronous nodal recurrence, primary gross tumour volume (GTV-nx), disease-free interval, re-irradiation dose and chemotherapy.
The following factors were included in the analyses: patients' characteristics (performance status, age, gender and late complications); disease characteristics (T-stage of recurrence, synchronous nodal recurrence, GTV-nx and DFI); and treatment methods (chemotherapy, re-irradiation dose).
The prognostic factors that have been most consistently reported for local control and OS are disease characteristics, such as the T-stage of recurrence and GTV-nx (Chua et al, 2005; Roeder et al, 2011; Han et al, 2012; Hua et al, 2012; Qiu et al, 2012).
The ability of Cu-porphysomes to detect prostate tumors less than 2 mm in size by PET/CT may present a viable option for identifying tumor foci and detecting the early stages of recurrence noninvasively.
Careful staging of recurrences (locoregional and metastases of the chest wall) represents a crucial step in the management of these patients.
Their findings indicated that the stage of first recurrence was the most emotionally stressful time in their samples [ 9].
In a backward variable selection, C1-stage (HR of recurrence: 2.08, 95% CI: 1.48 2.94, P<0.001) was confirmed as an independent predictor for disease-free survival.
In many cancers including lung and lymphoma it has been useful for diagnosis, staging, assessment of recurrence and for prognostic information [ 1, 2].
Thus, LKB1 mutations in cervical tumors confer a stage-for-stage increased risk of recurrence, suggesting that assays of LKB1 status will be of clinical utility in identifying patients at increased risk for disease progression.
The RNA expression levels did not correlate to clinical parameters (e.g., primary tumor size, stage) or probability of recurrence (data not shown).
