One of the challenging stages of circuit design is the physical design where the physical locations of the components of a circuit are determined.
In their data, upregulated genes identified between P3-PCs and P7-PCs were enriched for pathways such as "axon guidance", "regulation of actin cytoskeleton", "gap junction", and "tight junctions", implicating roles for these genes in the early stages of circuit integration by PCs.
