Commanded by an aeronautically-rated Air Force Colonel, HQ CAP-USAF consists of approximately 350 active duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, and civilian United States Air Force personnel (with all of the Air Force civil service personnel at CAP-USAF also being CAP members), 22 of whom are stationed at National Headquarters, staff CAP-USAF.
