Two diastereomers, -S-allyl-L-cysteine sulfoxidexist -S-allyl-L-cysteine sulfoxide, existhen the molecular structure of alliin because of the asymmetry of the sulfoxide group.

With the favorable particle size and composition, the NiS/Ni3S4 composite delivered preferable gravimetric capacity (194.4 mAh g−1 at 2 A g−1, and 133.1 mAh g−1 at 10 A g−1) and impressive circling stability (89.5 mAh g−1 at 10 A g−1 after 5000 cycles).
