The distribution pattern IV was found to have the most significant effect on the spatio-temporal spread of the compound synaptic potential over dendrites.
Regardless of the weighting factor for the conductance distribution on the soma membrane (10, 20, 40%), the spatio-temporal spread of the compound synaptic potential was hardly affected by distribution of active conductances over the somatic membrane (Fig. 2C).
