To assess herbicide concentrations in the downstream receiving environment, a more intensive water and sediment sampling regime was established at water-monitoring point 1 (whichwhicoveredred the highest proportion of the catchment sprayed (Table 1).
Three studies were included in the analysis of the effect of four weeks' of pheromonatherapy on urine spraying (Table 8).
In the multivariate analysis, exposure to pesticide spraying was not associated with elevated ED visits for asthma on the day after spraying (Table 2).
The maximum concentration in both environments (outdoors and indoors) was registered between 8 and 15 days after spraying (Table 1, Figure 1).
DDT, the only organochlorine reported, was used in higher quantities than any other insecticide class and was exclusively applied in indoor residual spraying (Table 2).
On the other hand, in terms of perception and behaviour, reduced infection risk was associated with perceiving the controllability of the disease, the usefulness of personal protection, and frequently using mosquito-repellent sprays (Table 3).
aChi square test; bFishers exact test In the binary logistic regression analysis the significant predictors of microalbuminuria were history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, UTI, drinking well water in the fields, history of smoking and involvement of pesticide spraying (Table 3).
The results for the airway-irritant biocides hydrogen peroxide, formaldehyde and glutardialdehyde give rise to concern regarding inhalation exposure to sprays (Table 5) and concentrates, MOEs being lowest for glutardialdehyde because of the particularly low NOAELs.
The alkylsilicone surfactant Oil Mate was added to both of these treatments and constituted 1% of the total spray volume (Table 1).
The patients identified as suffering from asthma were divided in three groups according to whether they were taking extrafine formulations, powders, or spray combinations (Table 1).
