We report a series of patients diagnosed with ectopic Cushings, having pneumonia with Nocardia spp. In one of these cases, the manifestations of Cushing's disappeared with treatment for Nocardia.
In Group B, 7 (4%) of 174 adults had one or more fecal samples positive for nontyphoidal Salmonella spp. in one year (1999), and 10 (6%) had one or more positive for S. flexneri or S. dysenteriae.
To reiterate, there were significant differences in prevalence for Enallagma (Chromatallagma) species pair where the less widespread species had a higher prevalence of Arrenurus spp. In one instance (Ischnura species pair) did the more widespread host species, I. verticalis, have significantly higher intensity of Arrenurus than the more geographically restricted host species I. posita.
The absence of cases of bacteraemia due to A. defectiva in neutropenic patients could reflect a lower frequency of oral colonisation by this species in comparison to Granulicatella spp. In one study, the rates of oral colonisation in healthy students were 11.8% and 87.1% for A. defectiva and G. adiacens, respectively [ 9].
Among 87 patients with proven VRE-infection, 18 patients developed VRE bacteraemia with E. faecium.> -wrap-foot> In case of isolation of more than one Enterococcus spp. in one patient, the patient was only counted once for the category any Enterococcus sp. A total of 201 patients were admitted to inpatient wards, 52 patients to intensive care units and 13 were outpatients.
Endogenous SPP was detected in one further complex of approx. 250 kDa.
As in other reports, other opportunistic pathogens, especially Aspergillus spp. (present in one third), were commonly cultured simultaneously (1, 18, 30, 31 ).
Therefore, the high abundance of Vibrio spp. and the lower abundance of Tenacibaculum spp. and Shewanella spp. in biofilms on PDMS filled with AgNPs may explain the lower mussel settlement observed in the present study.
A combination of glasshouse and field surveys was conducted to characterize the diversity of root-colonizing Pythium spp. on Kummerowia stipulacea in one small (ca. 10 m2) restored prairie site, using naturally produced K. stipulacea plants or soil and seeds from the same site.
Salmonella spp. was detected in one instance only; Campylobacter jejuni was not observed at all.
We also examined sister relationships among genes present only in Entamoeba spp and one other eukaryote based on clusters of orthologs determined by OrthoMCL as this approach is independent of the parameters of our pipeline.
