Identifying the visual demands of different sporting tasks presents a challenge in understanding how vision could limit or enhance the potential for sporting 'eliteness'eliteness
Secondly, low to moderate levels of retinal-image blur, simulating uncorrected myopia, may not necessarily impact negatively on performance in sporting tasks [23, 24], even in tasks where the visual demands are high [25 27].
The aims of this study were to determine if children 7 12 years show risk compensation when engaging in ecologically valid recreational sports tasks, and to explore how experience with the activity and extent of sensation seeking influence this.

Interestingly, few studies are designed to examine sports related benefits of resistance exercise while including a proper control group to account for adaptations to simply performing the sports related task.
This gap of expertise research should be addressed more specifically through examining the impact of physical exercise on perceptual-cognitive performances of athletes using more rigorous methods that measure speed and accuracy and induce a highly specific physical exercise under which a sport-specific task has to be performed.
For another testing variable, it is interesting to note, that no improvements were found for the LRH as Kibele and Behm [ 8] were able to show specific improvements in this sports related task following 7 weeks of instability resistance training for the leg extensors.
Sports reporters, perhaps because they have to meet the men they write about, are inclined to look for the good news, which is one of the reasons they resent seeing colleagues from the newsroom arrive at big sports events, tasked to dig the dirt.
However, research has overwhelmingly shown that experts are superior to novices if structured and sport-specific tasks are used [8].
