The goal was to discover novel spheres of expression: the unspoken word, the unpainted image, the unheard sound.
In the spheres, Nestin expression was initiated after SOX2 suggesting that Nestin positive cells may represent more determined cells, corresponding to transit amplifying progenitors.
These data confirmed that PROM1/CD133+ cells have CSC-like properties, such as generation of spheres, high expression of stemness-associated genes, and high resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs and PDT.
As for the element of truth which is obscurely at work in this distinction between logical form and metaphorical form, dialectic and rhetoric, we may detect in it the need of a science of aesthetics side by side with that of logic; but it was a mistake to try to distinguish the two sciences within the sphere of expression which belongs to one of them alone.
