The objective of this investigation was to characterize the expression landscape of immune regulatory molecules programmed death-ligand-1 (PD-L1, B7-H1) and B7-H4 in a cohort of endometrial tumors across the spectrum of grade and histology.
These tumors have a wide spectrum of atypical grades ranging from low-grade dysplasia to invasive carcinoma [19].
They cover a spectrum of malignancy grades ranging from low-grade melanocytomas to lesions of intermediate malignancy and overtly malignant melanomas.
In this study, a 255 core TMA comprising the spectrum of low grade to high grade Gleason scores of organ confined tumors was used to address several questions of clinical and pathological interest based on statistical modeling of the expression of selected biomarkers.
