Despite the narrowed spectrum of expression and the intentionally flattened palette of performance, language, and visual conception, the movie is a sensual delight.
Co-option, the recruitment of extant genes to new functions [ 23], often involves the utilization of new promoter elements leading to a wider spectrum of expression and, consequently, deployment of the respective gene products into new regulatory or metabolic contexts.
