This is mainly due to the fact that most of the experimental research has been conducted on specimens with very short embedded length.
One month wet dry (GH1) series showed failure of specimens with very thin layer of concrete attached to debonded GFRP (Fig. 9a) and the pattern was identified as failure in the interface between epoxy and concrete.
For lap shear fatigue tests, specimens failed in the bottom sheet at low load amplitudes and in the top sheet at high load amplitudes except for specimens with very short edge distance of 5 and 6 mm; whereas, for coach-peel fatigue tests, all specimens failed in the top sheet.
By tagging specimens with molecular barcodes, labs can multiplex several treatments and controls into a single sequencing run, making it possible to survey and compare different specimens with very few sequencing jobs, dramatically shrinking the time between sample preparation and data analysis and the sequencing costs.

Also, it is shown that for a specimen with very small dimensions, e.g. in the micron level, the micropolar effects are more sensible.
Then the accuracy of the proposed method has been further verified by experiments performed on a QuietSteel specimen with very low damping.
For a specimen with very high Ce concentration (1430 mg kg−1) and NASC-normalized Ce anomaly (3.63), the analysis of Ce XANES and Mn XAS data revealed (i) a predominance of Ce oxide in addition to Ce scavenged by Mn oxide; and (ii) a large fraction of poorly-crystalline hexagonal birnessite and aqueous Mn2+, suggesting a recent or on-going oxidation of Mn2+ in this fracture.
For these 8 loci high-quality pyrosequencing data could be obtained for all specimens with only very few exceptions: The results of 399 out of 400 measurements (99.8%) are summarized in Figures 2 and 3. DNA methylation levels for all genes under study displayed a quite high variation in the non-tumorous adjacent tissue.
For inclusion, a study had to: 1. report a comparison of an NAA test against a reference standard, and provide data necessary for the computation of both sensitivity and specificity; 2. include at least 10 pleural fluid specimens (since studies with very few specimens are vulnerable to selection bias [ 17]) Studies on use of NAA tests on pleural biopsy and/or cytology specimens were excluded.
Again there are multiple types preserved across several specimens of Kulindadromeus with very simple filaments on the head, neck and body that are similar to those seen in various theropods but also like those of the other ornithischians, though rather shorter.
ECC specimens are loaded with very low loading rates ranging from 0.013 to 0.064 mm/second.
